Custom Divi Blog Layout & Shortcode System

• A Netherlands city guide owner needed a blog layout Divi couldn't build on its own — a dynamic three-post block with a uniquely styled middle card, matched across category pages. I built it with custom PHP and CSS, then wrapped the logic in a reusable shortcode "Info Posts Control System" she could drop onto any category URL.

The block updates automatically with new posts, makes the whole card clickable, and applies her exact brand colours and fonts. I added advanced category logic so subcategories show only their own posts, excluded the Hotspots category from the main feed, and hid dates where required. I also fixed recurring footer and hover-state issues to keep the theme clean.
