ArduinoLab: Empowering Rural STEM Education through Open-Source

In 2024, a mission began to bridge the digital divide in rural Tunisia. In collaboration with sponsors like Vitalet and the SWAFY project, we deployed Arduino starter kits and sent dedicated volunteers to teach IoT, robotics, and prototyping.

But how do you ensure the spark of innovation lasts after the volunteers leave?

ArduinoLab is the answer. As the lead designer and developer, I built this multilingual online library to transform fleeting classroom projects into a permanent, accessible reference for students and the global maker community. This platform solves the "knowledge leak" in school clubs by providing a structured, AI-assisted space to document every circuit and line of code.

A Visual-First Hub for Young Makers

The landing page is designed for high-impact discovery. Using a clean grid system, it showcases the "Hero" projects of school clubs, making technical documentation feel like a modern gallery rather than a dry repository.

Responsive Learning, Anywhere.

Since many students in rural areas access the web via mobile devices, the UX is mobile-first. This shot demonstrates the fluid responsiveness and the RTL (Right-to-Left) Arabic layout, ensuring no student is left behind due to language or device barriers.

Documenting the Mission & Partnerships

The "About" section tells the story of our 2024–2026 journey with PNL Mahdia and DarNet at SWAFY Project. I used a balanced typography hierarchy to honor our sponsors while keeping the focus on our core mission: leaving a digital legacy for the next generation of engineers.

Storytelling on the Go

A deep dive into the "Why" behind the "How." This mobile view highlights the partnership between volunteers and students, optimized for readability with high-contrast elements and accessible touch targets.
